Webinar on “Smart Financial Planning for Academic Professionals”

The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), in association with the Academic Office, conducted a Five-Day Academic Leaders Workshop from 1st – 5th December 2025, for Deans, Deputy/Associate Deans, and Heads of Departments. Facilitated by Prof. Satheesh Kumar S. L., Faculty Development Specialist and Academic Leadership Coach, the programme aimed to strengthen academic leadership, improve team management capabilities, and enhance decision-making within academic administration.

Over the course of five days, the workshop explored foundational aspects of leadership, including academic leadership imperatives, the distinctions between leaders and managers, and the development of a catalyst leadership mindset. Participants engaged in self-discovery activities, including personality assessments, leadership style reflections, essential leadership qualities, and strategies for transforming mindsets and developing next-level leadership capabilities. The workshop also emphasized academic excellence and innovation by exploring deeper learning principles, innovative teaching–learning methodologies, Digital Learning Pedagogy (DLP), and effective academic decision-making.

The programme strengthened leadership awareness, improved team and people management skills, enhanced understanding of innovative pedagogy and digital learning approaches, and provided clearer decision-making frameworks for academic administrators. The workshop also fostered reflective thinking and strengthened communication across departments.

The Five-Day Academic Leaders Workshop provided a focused, practical, and meaningful leadership development experience. The insights gained are expected to support academic quality, administrative effectiveness, and institutional growth. IQAC and the Academic Office will continue to initiate similar capacity-building programmes to further enhance leadership excellence across the university.
