The Pharma Club of MBU successfully organized an awareness program on World Tuberculosis Day on March 24, 2025, in Room No. 1507 from 11:00 to 12:30 PM. The session aimed to educate students about tuberculosis’s causes, transmission, preventive measures, and available treatments, emphasizing the role of pharmacists in fighting against the disease.
A total of 43 students from I Pharm D and II Pharm D actively participated in the event, engaging in discussions, presentations, and interactive activities focused on tuberculosis (TB). Through skits, informative talks, and group discussions, students highlighted the importance of early diagnosis, proper medication, and community awareness in controlling TB. The event fostered a deeper understanding of the disease and encouraged future healthcare professionals to contribute to TB prevention and treatment efforts.
Tuberculosis remains a serious health issue, but with proper awareness, precautions, and timely medication, it can be controlled and cured. Educating communities about TB prevention and ensuring access to medical care, students performed an engaging and informative skit on tuberculosis (TB), aiming to raise awareness about its spread, precautions, and available treatments. The skit, presented creatively and interactively, highlighted the causes of TB, how it spreads, and the importance of early diagnosis and proper medication.
Additionally, the skit educated the audience on preventive measures such as covering the mouth while coughing, maintaining good hygiene, ensuring proper ventilation in living spaces, and getting vaccinated. The students also highlighted the importance of nutritious food and a healthy lifestyle in strengthening immunity against TB. The skit served as an effective medium to educate and engage people, reinforcing the message that knowledge and timely action can help combat tuberculosis effectively.
The event proved to be a thought-provoking and engaging session by providing them with the necessary knowledge and motivation to stop the spread of this disease. This event played a pivotal role in their academic and professional growth. The event organizers sincerely expressed their gratitude to all the participants and faculty for their invaluable support and contributions in making the event a remarkable success.
