World Happiness Day: Exploring Well-being in the Digital Age

The Together We Heal Club of MBU organized an awareness program on 11 March 2026. The event was conducted at Amara Hospital, Tirupati, for II Year Pharm D students. It was held in association with the Department of Pharmacy Practice and IQAC. The program focused on the theme “Happiness in the Digital Age: Social Media and Well-being.” It aimed to highlight the role of social media in influencing happiness and mental health. The session encouraged students to reflect on their digital habits and overall well-being.
Interactive Discussions
Ms. Bandla Aswani, Asst. professor, Faculty Coordinator, guided the event with dedication. Hospital Quality Manager Dr. Ooha from Amara Hospital contributed valuable insights. A total of 20 students participated actively in the one-day program. The Students engaged in interactive discussions and shared their experiences. The session explained both positive and negative impacts of social media. It emphasized healthy digital practices such as limiting screen time and mindful usage.
Takeaways by the Participants
The participants gained awareness about the significance of International Day of Happiness. They understood how social media can influence happiness and mental health. The session helped them identify positive aspects like connectivity and support. They also recognized negative effects such as stress, comparison, and overuse. The feedback showed that students appreciated learning about healthy digital habits. They expressed interest in adopting balanced online and offline interactions. The organizers expressed gratitude to all participants for their active involvement. The event was informative, interactive, and highly relevant to student well-being.
