Visual Syndrome: Photography Meets AI Creativity

About the Event
The Data Club, the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning organized the event “Visual Syndrome” on 12 March 2026. The event aimed to introduce students to photography basics and highlight the role of Artificial Intelligence in modern visual content creation. It focused on camera settings like shutter speed, aperture, and ISO while also exploring AI-based image generation techniques.
Technical and Artistic exposure
Ms. K. Sandhya, Assistant Professor coordinated the event. A total of 96 students actively participated in the sessions. The first session, “Mastering the Shutter,” explained DSLR components and manual settings while also discussing career opportunities in photography. The second session, “The AI Synthesis,” demonstrated how AI tools can integrate with photography to create hyper-realistic images. The event proved important as it connected creative skills with emerging technologies, offering students both technical and artistic exposure.
Participant Perspectives
The students gained practical knowledge about DSLR camera settings and learned how Artificial Intelligence can enhance digital visuals. They also appreciated the interactive approach and valued the insights into career opportunities in photography and digital media. Moreover, they expressed that the event helped them explore new possibilities in combining photography with AI The feedback highlighted that the sessions encouraged creativity, improved technical awareness, and strengthened interdisciplinary learning.
