United Against TB: Raising Awareness for a Healthier Future

The Young Caliber Club of Mohan Babu University, School of Engineering successfully organized the “United Against TB: Raising Awareness for a Healthier Future” event on March 23, 2025, from 09:30 AM to 12:00 PM, at Z.P. High School in Narasinga Puram. This significant endeavor functioned as a forum for educating and engaging the community about tuberculosis (TB) and its causes, symptoms, prevention, and treatment options. It also highlighted the global efforts and social responsibility required to eradicate tuberculosis, emphasizing the necessity of early detection, medical intervention, and public awareness in eradicating this infectious disease.

This informative session provided participants with in-depth knowledge of Tuberculosis (TB), including its causes, symptoms, modes of transmission, and effective prevention strategies. The program highlighted the importance of early detection and quick medical intervention in eradicating tuberculosis. It also emphasized cutting-edge advances in tuberculosis detection, vaccinations, and treatment options, providing delegates with the knowledge they required to contribute to TB prevention and eradication efforts.

Participants learned essential information on the global tuberculosis issue and the critical role that individuals and communities play in fighting the disease through engaging expert talks, interactive discussions, and dynamic awareness initiatives. The discussion also highlighted major government initiatives and WHO guidelines for TB prevention and control, underlining the critical role of public health policies in the fight against tuberculosis. The event’s goal was to inspire collaborative action towards a TB-free future by raising awareness and encouraging proactive involvement.

Through collaborative activities and insightful knowledge-sharing sessions, participants were empowered to become proactive advocates for tuberculosis awareness and prevention. They were encouraged to take real action in their communities by raising awareness, clarifying misunderstandings, and encouraging early detection and treatment. This effort aims to promote a shared commitment to a healthy future, with the ultimate objective of a TB-free world.

The faculty coordinator, Ms. Nune Divya, Assistant Professor, School of Engineering, arranged and organized the event. 90 participants actively engaged in the event.
