
The School of Paramedical Allied and Health Care Science, MBU, conducted a seminar on “HEALTHY PERIODS, HEALTHY YOU, MENSTURAL HYGIENE ESSENTIALS” for all the female teaching & non-teaching staff, and as well as girl students of MBU. It was held in the PAT office seminar hall of MBU University on 22-04-25 from 10:00 AM to 5.00 PM.
This significant awareness camp functioned as a forum for educating the women’s community on PCOD problems and causes, symptoms, prevention, and treatment options. It also highlighted the efforts and preliminary steps to be taken to control these issues, emphasizing the necessity of early detection, medical intervention, and minimum awareness in eradicating these health problems.
Dr. Jyothi Padavala, MD., MRCOG CCT (UK), a renowned and leading consultant OBG at Orange Hospital, Tirupati, graced the seminar as the key tone speaker. She elaborated the importance of maintaining regular menstrual cycles and proper menstrual hygiene. In the afternoon session, she conducted check-ups several for several staff members and students and offering personalized advice and health tips. This informative session provided participants with in-depth knowledge about PCOD, including its root causes, symptoms, and effective prevention strategies. The participants gained valuable insights into various menstrual health-related issues and the crucial role that individuals play in managing them through personal care and good hygiene practices.
Dr.K.VINITHA, Asst. Professor, Department of Physiotherapy, School of Paramedical, Allied and Health Care Sciences, MBU University, organized the event. A total of 78 students and staff, both teaching and non-teaching from various schools participated in this seminar.
The seminar was a resounding success, effectively raising awareness among the attendees about menstrual concerns. The organizing team extends its heartfelt gratitude to all participants and contributors for making this event a remarkable success.
