Strengthening Communities: Malaria Awareness by MBU at AMARA Hospitals

The Cosmetics Club of the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, MBU, organized an awareness program at AMARA Hospitals, Karakambadi Rural, Tirupathi, in observance of World Malaria Day on April 25, 2025. The event, held from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM, aimed to educate patients on malaria fever, including its diagnosis, prevention strategies, and lifestyle modifications to reduce the risk of infection.

Mrs. Bandla Aswani from the pharmacy department coordinated this event, which saw the active participation of 35 students. This initiative served as a valuable platform for spreading awareness, empowering individuals with essential health knowledge, and reinforcing the importance of preventive care in the fight against malaria.

 The event included a series of speeches delivered by students to patients and Amara Hospital staff, supported by informative charts. Students actively engaged in the program, providing comprehensive explanations on the history of malaria, covering its origins, causes, prevention strategies, and contributing factors.

 The presentations and detailed chart diagrams helped effectively convey key insights, making the session both educational and impactful. The program served as an excellent platform for students to enhance their knowledge and spread awareness among patients about malaria. It also emphasized the importance of informed decision-making in personal health management and the broader goal of achieving health equity for all.

The event served as a powerful source of inspiration, fostering a spirit of social service among the attendees.
