Debate, Discuss, Deliver: Building a Stronger Society

The Readers Club of MBU successfully organized an engaging event titled Samaja – A Place for Solution on April 22, 2025, in the New Academic Block at Room No.4215 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The event was designed to foster critical thinking and collaborative problem-solving among students.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation, with 60 students attending and 18 students actively participating as part of five competitive teams. It was meticulously planned and executed by the student coordinator, demonstrating immense dedication and leadership. It featured two dynamic rounds, each designed to challenge and refine the participants’ intellectual capabilities.

In the first round, under the group discussion part, the participants engaged in thought-provoking discussions on socially relevant themes, including poverty, dowry and inequality. Divided into five groups, the contestants showcased exceptional analytical and reasoning skills, demonstrating their insightful perspectives that reflected their depth of understanding.

The second round was designed to refine participants’ debating skills and subject expertise. The debate was marked by their insightful arguments, critical thinking, and spontaneity. Each of the group gave their best efforts and showcased refined communication skills throughout the competition. The event was truly an extraordinary experience for all the participants.

The winning team comprised Ms. Ramya, Ms. Ambika, Ms. Pravalika, and Mr. Abshiksh, representing undergraduate (B.Sc.) and postgraduate (MBA—first year) programs. Their exceptional articulation and collaborative spirit were commendable.

With their fearless approach, enthusiasm, and determination, all the participants made the event a resounding success. The event concluded with the event coordinators congratulating the winners and all participants for their enthusiastic involvement. Faculty coordinators also appreciated the student coordinators for their dedicated efforts and seamless event execution.
