Promoting Online Safety and Student Well-Being at ZPHS, Narasinga Puram
Event Perspective
The Young Calibers Club organized an awareness program on “Online Safety and Student Well-Being” on 12-02-2026 at ZPHS, Narasinga Puram. It aimed to educate students of Classes 6 to 8 about safe internet usage and emotional well-being. The program highlighted the importance of using the internet responsibly for learning and personal growth. The student volunteers guided the school children to balance academics, sports, and family time with digital activities.
Highlighting Unsafe Online Practices
Ms. Nune Divya, Faculty Coordinator from the Department of ECE, coordinated the event with student coordinators. A total of 45 students actively participated in the program. The session explained how to protect personal information and create strong passwords. Students learned the risks of sharing passwords, OTPs, or personal details with strangers online. The program discussed cyber bullying and its harmful effects on mental health. The volunteers encouraged them to report unsafe online situations to parents or teachers immediately. They also emphasized the importance of balancing screen time with studies and healthy activities. Moreover, they shared some useful tips to reduce digital stress and maintain emotional well-being. Interactive discussions and real-life examples helped students understand safe online behavior. The program concluded with a pledge to become responsible digital citizens.
Reflections and Observations
The school children understood how to protect their personal information and stay safe online. They became aware of cyber bullying and learned how to report unsafe situations confidently.
