The ASCE MBU Student Chapter, in collaboration with the Department of Civil Engineering, successfully organized an inspiring event titled Project Expo on April 15, 2015. This initiative was conducted in association with the IGS MBU Student Chapter, IGBC MBU Student Chapter, IEEE GRSS MBU Sub Chapter, and the Intellectual Association of Civil Engineers (IACE). The primary object of this program was to inspire and nurture students’ skills in project expos and poster presentations while enhancing their knowledge in civil engineering.
The event saw a tremendous response, with a total of 118 students from the final-year engineering actively participating. The dedication demonstrated by the students made the event truly dynamic and engaging. Throughout the program, students gained insights into the latest technologies relevant to civil engineering projects and poster presentations. This initiative also served as a platform to ignite young minds, encouraging them to explore, learn, and participate in such academic opportunities.
The event was meticulously coordinated by Mr. D.V. Purushotham, Assistant Professor and faculty advisor for the ASCE MBU Student Chapter. A distinguished panel of experts, including Dr. G. K. Arunvivek (Professor and HOD-CE), Dr. D. Karunanidhi (Professor and Deputy Dean-FR), Mr. Pramod Kumar (Asst. Professor), and esteemed faculty members from the Department of Engineering, acted as judges. The participants were evaluated on various criteria, such as subject knowledge, presentation skills, and creativity.
The event was made possible through the tireless efforts of the student coordinators and office bearers of ASCE MBU Student Chapter-25, who played a crucial role in planning, organizing, and organizing the event with tremendous enthusiasm. Their dedication ensured that the entire program was conducted successfully.
Overall, the Project Expo proved to be an immensely valuable experience, enriching students with technical knowledge and hands-on exposure to advancements in the field.
