Idea Sphere: Transforming Ideas into Prototypes

April 11

The FYE Student Chapter of the Department of CSE & EIE successfully organized an insightful event titled IDEA SPHERE exclusively for 2nd-year EIE students on April 11, 2025, from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM at Room No. 102, West Block of MBU. The event aimed to inspire young minds to develop creative projects and work towards product recognition while fostering teamwork, collaboration, problem-solving skills, and creativity among participants. Through this initiative, students were encouraged to think critically, innovate, and showcase their talents in a competitive yet supportive environment.

The event revolved around students presenting their innovative projects to a panel of judges. Each participant explained their ideas in detail, demonstrated their prototype models, and elaborated on the practical implementation of their concepts. The event provided a platform for students to showcase their creativity and originality and their ability to translate ideas into working models. The participants also gained a deeper understanding of patent acquisition and product development.

A total of 40 students participated in the event, displaying exceptional enthusiasm and dedication. The judging panel assessed the projects based on key criteria, including innovation, execution and the ability to articulate the concepts effectively. Based on the evaluation by the judges, Devarapalli Geetha and Harshitha were awarded 1st prize, receiving a cash reward of Rs. 2000 for their best innovative idea. The 2nd prize, comprising a cash reward of Rs. 1000, was secured by Varshitha and Guna Sree.  Sriman and Madhav secured 3rd prize, receiving a reward of Rs.500.

The event was coordinated by faculty member C. Nalini and was further supported by Dr.N. Sudhakar Reddy, Head of the Department of ECE. Their collective efforts ensured the smooth execution of activities, creating an environment where students could actively involve themselves and present their ideas effectively.

The IDEA SPHERE event proved to be an inspiring and engaging session, igniting innovation and creativity among students. By providing them with the necessary knowledge and motivation to transform ideas into prototypes and secure patents, this event played a pivotal role in their academic and professional growth. It also raised awareness and interest in innovative thinking and intellectual property rights.
