Home First Aid Kit Workshop – Essentials for Safety and Preparedness

Primary Goal of the Event
The First Aid Force Club of the School of Paramedical, Allied and Health Care Sciences organized a workshop titled Home First Aid Kit – What Should It Have? on 17 March 2026 at MNS Block, Room No. 812, Mohan Babu University. The offline session ran from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM and aimed to educate students about the importance of maintaining a well‑equipped first aid kit at home, hostels, and workplaces. The event highlighted how timely first aid can save lives and reduce complications during emergencies.
Practical Demonstrations and Interactive Discussions
Ms. M. Mohana Priya, Assistant Professor, coordinated the workshop and guided 40 student participants throughout the session. She explained the essential components of a home first aid kit through practical demonstrations and interactive discussions. Students learned about adhesive bandages, antiseptic solutions, sterile gauze, gloves, thermometers, pain relievers, antihistamines, ORS packets, burn ointments, and emergency contact lists. The session also emphasized the importance of proper organization, regular inspection, and safe storage of first aid materials. Students actively engaged in scenario‑based discussions and hands‑on demonstrations, which improved their confidence and practical skills.

The participants shared that the workshop enhanced their knowledge of first aid essentials and their proper usage in different emergency situations. They also appreciated the practical demonstrations on wound cleaning, dressing techniques, and safe handling of equipment.
