The Wellness Wizard Club of MBU hosted a dedicated eye screening camp for the faculty members of the university on 13th June 2025, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM in Room 503, MNS Block. It was organized under the banner of “Vision for Wellness—Comprehensive Eye Screening Drive 2025.” The School of Paramedical Allied and Health Care Sciences (SOPAHCS) spearheaded the initiative, demonstrating its dedication to health advocacy and preventive care.
The drive was coordinated by Dr. Akbar J., Assistant Professor in the Department of Physiotherapy, SOPAHCS, and facilitated by renowned consultant Dr. N.V. Harish Kumar from the American Laser Eye Hospital, Tirupati. The comprehensive screening aimed to raise awareness of ocular health and provide early detection of potential vision issues.
Approximately 150 faculty members took part in the camp, availing themselves of professional evaluation and personalized advice. The initiative was met with appreciation and gratitude, with participants commending the university’s dedication to faculty well-being.
By focusing on preventive health for educators, the event not only fostered awareness but also reinforced the importance of regular eye care. The successful execution of the camp reflects the university’s holistic approach to creating a healthy academic environment, one where vision and vitality go hand in hand.
