Hackathon – X Horizon: Fostering Innovation Through Teamwork and Collaboration

The Coding Club of MBU, in collaboration with the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Hack with India (India’s Premier Student Hackathon Platform), IEEE CIS, and AWS Cloud Club, successfully organized X Horizon, a 24-hour open-source hackathon on 12-04-25. The event aimed to foster innovation and problem-solving among students, providing them with an opportunity to showcase their technical expertise.

The hackathon focused on six key domains, covering a broad spectrum of technology and innovation. Participants engaged in web development, crafting dynamic and responsive websites. The field of artificial intelligence and machine learning brought intelligent automation and predictive analytics into focus. Data science and big data analytics enable insights and decision-making from vast datasets. Cybersecurity and ethical hacking ensured digital safety and protection against threats. The integration of smart devices was explored through the Internet of Things (IoT) and embedded systems, fostering connectivity and automation. Lastly, blockchain and Web3 introduced decentralized solutions for security and transparency in digital transactions. This comprehensive coverage encouraged innovation and skill-building across cutting-edge technologies.

The interactive nature of the hackathon encouraged active participation and collaboration, creating an enriching learning experience for all attendees. Participants formed teams and worked on designated problem statements, demonstrating innovation and technical proficiency in their respective fields.

This event was successfully coordinated by Dr. J. Avanija, senior faculty member in the AIML dept. A total of 160 teams stood out due to their creativity and ability to transform ideas into tangible solutions. The hackathon provided a platform for students to experiment with advanced technologies, collaborate with peers, and refine their problem-solving skills.

This event served as an excellent opportunity for students to push their boundaries, think critically, and implement innovative solutions in a highly competitive environment. The event successfully fostered a culture of technical excellence and collaboration, solidifying its impact on the participants and the broader academic community.
