The Data Club, School of Computing, organized the “Git & GitHub Essentials” workshop on 19 August 2026 at Mohan Babu University. The event aimed to introduce students to version control and collaborative software development. The workshop also encouraged teamwork and prepared students for industry-oriented practices.
Ms. K. Sandhya, Assistant Professor, Department of AI & ML, coordinated the workshop. A total of 39 students actively participated in the session. The workshop included demonstrations and hands-on activities on creating repositories, managing commits, branching, merging, and resolving conflicts. Students also learned about GitHub collaboration features such as pull requests and code reviews. The event provided valuable exposure to industry-relevant tools and highlighted the importance of teamwork in software development.
