The FOR YOUR ENTERTAINMENT CLUB (FYE CLUB) of the School of Electronics and Communication Engineering at Mohan Babu University organized an exciting musical competition titled “Dumb Charades Showdown” on 22nd February from 11.45 A.M to 1.45 P.M at Room no133. The event aimed to provide a unique and entertaining twist on the traditional game of Dumb Charades, incorporating elements of music and memes, making it an engaging experience for all participants.
The event was organized by program Coordinator Ms. Nalini Chekuri (esteemed professor of ECE Department). A total of 33 enthusiastic students participated in the competition, showcasing their creativity, teamwork, and quick thinking. The event was filled with fun, laughter, and an energetic atmosphere, as participants demonstrated their ability to interpret and convey memes without words.
The competition was designed as a team-based game where each team comprised two members: one junior and one senior. In each round, one participant from the team wore earbuds, while the other conveyed a meme through actions and expressions. The challenge was for the participant with the earbuds to correctly identify the meme. Multiple teams took part in the showdown, and various rounds were introduced to add excitement and variation to the game.
The competition was intense, with participants displaying remarkable skills in non-verbal communication. After a thrilling series of rounds, Sai Chandana Konduru, a student from the EIE Department, emerged as the first prize winner, impressing both judges and the audience with exceptional performance.
The “Dumb Charades Showdown” was a resounding success, fostering camaraderie among students and encouraging interactive learning through fun-filled activities. The event highlighted the importance of teamwork, creativity, and quick thinking while providing a memorable experience for all attendees.
