“Eyes are the windows to the soul—let’s keep them healthy and bright.” In a remarkable initiative to promote eye health and wellness, the School of Paramedical and Allied Health Care Sciences joined hands with Yash Hospital to organize a Free Eye Checkup Camp. This collaborative effort was driven by a shared vision of building a healthier tomorrow by addressing one of the most critical yet often overlooked aspects of well-being—eye health at Mohan Babu University.
The aim of this initiative was to raise awareness about eye care and provide free vision screenings and eye examinations to individuals across the community. Many people tend to neglect their eye health until problems arise, and this camp served as an opportunity for early detection of vision impairments and other ocular conditions. By offering professional assessments and expert guidance, we aimed to help individuals take proactive steps in preserving their eyesight.
The event witnessed a large turnout, including students, faculty members, and community residents, all eager to take advantage of this free service. A team of qualified ophthalmologists, optometrists, and healthcare professionals from Yash Hospital conducted comprehensive eye tests, checked for common issues such as refractive errors, dry eyes, and early signs of cataracts or glaucoma, and provided guidance on eye care practices.
In addition to eye screenings, the event featured awareness sessions where healthcare professionals educated attendees on the impact of digital screen exposure, UV protection, proper nutrition, and lifestyle choices in preventing vision problems. The interactive discussions encouraged individuals to prioritize regular eye checkups and adopt healthy habits to safeguard their eyesight.
Through this initiative, the School of Paramedical and Allied Health Care Sciences reaffirmed its commitment to community well-being, ensuring that quality healthcare reaches those in need. The collaboration with Yash Hospital highlighted the power of joint efforts in making a difference in people’s lives.
