January 9

The Cosmetic Club of M.B. School of Pharmaceutical Sciences observed World Brain Tumor Day on June 9, 2025, by organizing an impactful awareness program from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM. Themed around raising awareness of brain tumors, the program focused on key aspects such as early diagnosis, clinical presentations, prevention strategies, and lifestyle modifications essential for managing the condition.

The event was successfully coordinated by Mrs. Bandla Aswani, faculty of the Department of Pharmacy Practice, in collaboration with the Department of Pharmacognosy. A total of 50 enthusiastic students from the B. Pharmacy and Pharm D programs actively participated in the event, delivering a series of insightful speeches supported by PowerPoint presentations and illustrative chart diagrams.

The students shared well-researched information on the causes and risk factors contributing to brain tumors, along with effective methods of prevention and early identification. Their engaging presentations not only reflected academic excellence but also highlighted the importance of health literacy in disease management.

The program served as a dynamic platform for enhancing student knowledge while fostering a culture of community education. It successfully disseminated critical information about brain tumors among the academic community, encouraging informed decision-making in personal and public health contexts.

The event also underscored the broader goal of achieving health equity by equipping students and attendees with the tools and understanding necessary to make proactive healthcare choices. The initiative exemplified the commitment of M.B. School of Pharmaceutical Sciences to social responsibility and academic engagement, making the event both educational and impactful.

This initiative underscored the importance of raising awareness about various types of diseases and the necessary precautions to be taken to prevent them. The event organizers sincerely expressed their gratitude to all the participants for their invaluable support and contributions in making the event a remarkable success.
