English Association Interactive and Engaging “Group Discussion Session”

The English Association of Mohan Babu University organized a “Group Discussion session” on the 21st of February 2025 from 3 P.M to 4 P.M At Room no 507, MNS BLOCK. The event aimed to cultivate students’ expressing abilities, boost their confidence, and help them overcome stage fear in a supportive and lively environment. The session provided participants with a platform to articulate their thoughts, develop critical thinking, and enhance their public speaking skills.

The session was meticulously designed and organized by the faculty coordinator Dr. Sudipta Ghosh (esteemed faculty of SOLAS-Department of English) 43 students actively participated in the event.

The session commenced with a warm welcome by the organizer, Dr. Sudipta Ghosh, who emphasized the importance of effective communication and confident expression. Students were divided into smaller groups, each discussing thought-provoking topics that encouraged diverse viewpoints and analytical thinking. The discussion was conducted in a structured manner, allowing each participant to present their perspectives while maintaining decorum and respect for differing opinions. Throughout the session, participants actively engaged in debates, counterarguments, and insightful reflections on the topics presented. Faculty members and organizers provided constructive feedback, helping students refine their communication skills and stage presence.

The event successfully achieved its objective of fostering self-expression, confidence building, and interactive learning among students. Participants found the session highly beneficial as it helped them improve their articulation, logical reasoning, and ability to express opinions clearly. The event also instilled a sense of teamwork and encouraged healthy discussions.

The Group Discussion event was a resounding success, with enthusiastic participation and engaging discussions. The English Association looks forward to organizing more such sessions in the future, providing students with a continuous platform to refine their communication and analytical skills.
