The Electro Affinity (EA) Club of the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, School of Engineering, Mohan Babu University, hosted an exciting theme-based singing contest on 10th March 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM in Room No. 4315 of the New Academic Block. The event brought together over 65 B.Tech. students in a celebration of music, creativity, and spirited competition.
Participants were invited to perform songs that aligned with chosen themes such as Bollywood Hits, Retro Classics, Disney Songs, Folk Music, and Love Ballads. This thematic approach added a vibrant touch to the contest, encouraging students to experiment with different genres and vocal styles while staying true to the essence of the selected theme.
The performances were judged by a panel of esteemed faculty and guest artists, who offered constructive feedback while evaluating participants on vocal quality, stage presence, song selection, and thematic relevance. The atmosphere was electric as the audience enthusiastically supported each performer, turning the event into a memorable musical gathering.
Special awards were presented in categories like Best Vocal Performance, Most Creative Interpretation, and Audience Favorite, recognizing the passion and individuality of the performers. The event concluded with a grand group performance that lit up the room, followed by a cheerful prize distribution ceremony.
Dr. Daram Suresh, faculty advisor of the EA Club, congratulated the organizing team for orchestrating a successful and inspiring event. With plans already in motion for an even grander edition next year, the contest proved to be a brilliant showcase of student talent and musical enthusiasm.
