Debating the Future Transport: EVs, Hydrogen, and Conventional Vehicles

 The CAD Club of MBU organized a thought-provoking technical debate titled EVs vs. Hydrogen vs. Conventional—The Future of Sustainable Transport on April 10, 2025 from 10.00 A.M. to 11.00 A.M. at Room No. 2707 in Mechanical Block.  This event’s primary objective was to provide the students with an engaging platform to discuss and critically analyze the future of sustainable mobility.

The event was successfully conducted by G. Lokesh, the student coordinator, with invaluable support from the faculty coordinator, Dr. S. Lakshmi Narayana, Associate Professor in the Dept. of Mechanical Engineering. Thirty-five enthusiastic students from II B.Tech. Mechanical Engineering participated and presented well-structured arguments backed by technical reasoning and real-world examples. The debate covered key aspects such as efficiency, environmental impact, infrastructure, and feasibility, with each team effectively highlighting the strengths and challenges of their respective domains—EVs, hydrogen, and conventional vehicles.

The event saw a dynamic exchange of ideas, with audience members contributing insightful questions that enriched the discussion. The session concluded with a summary by Leela Krishna, who emphasized the continuous learning in the ever-evolving transportation sector. The active participants included Vivekananda Reddy, Govardhan Reddy, Karthik, Jai Krishna, Vamsi, Kedar Babu, and Navneeth Reddy from II B.Tech. Mechanical Branch.

The CAD Club extended its heartfelt appreciation to all attendees for their enthusiastic participation, making the debate a resounding success. Their collective engagement and insightful contributions showcased the growing curiosity and commitment of students towards shaping a sustainable future. This event certainly reflects the club’s dedication to fostering intellectual discussions and technical awareness among students.
