Awareness on Water Conservation and Jal Shakti Abhiyan

About the Event

The Rural Development Club organized an outreach activity on 18 April 2026 at A. Rangampet village. The program titled “Water Conservation & Jal Shakti Abhiyan” aimed to create awareness among rural communities about water usage and conservation practices. The event was conducted from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. with active participation from seven students.

Awareness Sessions for the Communities

S. Bharaty, Assistant Professor, guided the activity with support from student participants. The students interacted with villagers and explained practical methods for preserving water. They also discussed rainwater harvesting, efficient irrigation, avoiding wastage, and maintaining clean water sources. Awareness sessions included posters, demonstrations, and interactive discussions. The program highlighted the importance of collective responsibility in conserving water and introduced government initiatives under the Jal Shakti Abhiyan.
