BSc Dialysis Technology

This program prepares the students to conduct haemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis to individuals with end-stage kidney disease and acute kidney injury requiring dialysis. This course will equip the student with the knowledge and skills of a high standard required in the modern renal unit with the classroom and practical dialysis training.

Some common areas DT Professional performs are: 

Identify the temporary and permanent Arterio-Venous access (AVF/AVG) and complications of cannulation techniques and management.

Perform haemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, continuous renal replacement therapies and plasmapheresis.

Manage the circuits alarms, RO water preparation and distribution, dialyzer membrane and tubing, dialysate preparations.

Career Opportunities

The National Health Mission, the government has started the Pradhan Mantri National Dialysis Program in 2016 with the desire of expanding the range of Dialysis services being provided across the country and to also recommend free Dialysis to economically backward people. The momentum leading to increasing the number of clinics and hospitals providing different types of Renal Dialysis treatment solutions has categorically influenced the number of jobs in the particular sector. Being a paramedical course, graduates will be able to pursue a career path in any healthcare institution or a hospital.
