Social Lens: A Platform for Insightful Discussions and Awareness

March 24

The Management Club of MBU successfully organized an event titled Social Lens on 24 March 2025, at the seminar hall in the New Academic Block. The design of the event encouraged students to critically analyze and discuss significant social issues through structured group discussions. Furthermore, the initiative aimed to enhance their analytical skills, communication abilities, and awareness of contemporary social challenges.

The event took place in the NAB Block and saw active participation from around 60 students representing different branches of the Commerce and Management department. Participants engaged in meaningful discussions on a variety of social themes, including environmental sustainability, gender equality and inclusion, the impact of social media, economic disparities and poverty, and mental health awareness.

Students were divided into smaller groups, each focusing on a specific theme. Every group had a moderator who facilitated the discussion and ensured active participation. After the group discussions, representatives from each team presented key takeaways and possible solutions related to their respective topics.

The Social Lens activity provided a platform for students to voice their opinions, engage in constructive debates, and develop a broader perspective on social issues. The session fostered critical thinking, teamwork, and public speaking skills among participants. Many students expressed their appreciation for the opportunity to participate in meaningful discussions that contribute to social awareness and personal development.

The event concluded on a positive note, with faculty members appreciating the enthusiasm and insightful contributions of the students. The Management Club plans to organize similar interactive activities in the future to continue promoting social awareness and intellectual growth among students.
