
The Finance and Investment Club of the School of Commerce and Management, organized an insightful event titled “Trading Vs Investment” on 16th October 2025 in the the department. The session brought together curious minds eager to explore the world of finance. With 60 participants in attendance, the event was a vibrant mix of learning, sharing, and healthy competition.
The event aimed to help students understand the key differences between trading and investing, and how each approach plays a role in financial planning and wealth creation. It was designed to build awareness about financial markets and equip students with practical knowledge to make informed decisions. By focusing on both fundamental and technical analysis, the session encouraged participants to think critically and strategically about money management.
Dr. Dasari Rajesh Babu and the faculty coordinators led the event with enthusiasm and care. Ten students actively participated in the competitive segment. Mr. Annamalai, MBA second-year student, emerged as the winner with his presentation on fundamental and technical analysis. Mr. Harsha, BBA first-year student, was declared runner-up for his engaging talk on the basics of trading and investment. The coordinators congratulated all participants for their efforts and appreciated their clarity and confidence.
The session was conducted through interactive presentations, discussions, and real-world examples. Students explored how financial markets operate, how to analyze stocks, and how to decide between long-term investments and short-term trades. The activity emphasized the importance of financial literacy and encouraged students to think about their financial goals and strategies.
Participants walked away with a deeper understanding of how financial markets work. They learned to identify good investment opportunities, assess risks, and make smart decisions. The session helped them build confidence in handling money and sparked interest in future careers in finance and investment.
The organizers expressed heartfelt thanks to the management, expert speakers, and all participants for making the event a success. Feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with 92% rating the session as “Excellent” or “Very Good.” Many students expressed interest in attending advanced workshops to further sharpen their financial skills. The event truly blended theory with practice, making learning both meaningful and memorable.
