The Electro Affinity Club, the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering of MBU, organized a lively and creative event titled “Watt a Story! – The Power of Expression” on 23rd October 2025 at the Mini Auditorium. The event was designed to spark imagination and humour while staying rooted in EEE concepts. Students were invited to write short stories that were funny, meaningful, and themed around Electrical and Electronics Engineering. The goal was to help students express their ideas in a creative format, blending technical knowledge with storytelling flair.
Ms. Gogula Vyshnavi, Assistant Professor and Faculty Coordinator, led the event with great enthusiasm and with support from Dr. M. S. Sujatha, Head of the Department. A total of 40 second-year B.Tech EEE students participated, forming groups of three. The student coordinators—Sudharshan, Nithish, Keerthana, Ram, and Anusha—played a key role in organizing the event. Each group brought their own spark to the table, crafting stories that were both entertaining and insightful.
The activity encouraged teamwork and creativity. Students brainstormed, laughed, and collaborated to build stories that reflected their understanding of EEE in a fun and relatable way. After careful evaluation, three groups were awarded first, second, and third prizes for their originality and spirited participation. The winning story was later dramatized at the department’s inaugural function, giving students a chance to perform and be appreciated.
Participants walked away with more than just prizes. They discovered new ways to connect technical ideas with everyday experiences, gained confidence in expressing themselves, and found joy in working together. The top stories were displayed on the department notice board, inspiring others to join future events.
The organizers extended heartfelt thanks to all the participants for their enthusiasm and creativity. They also appreciated the efforts of the Electro Affinity Club for creating a space where students could learn, laugh, and grow together. Events like these remind that learning can be fun, expressive, and full of surprises.
