The IMAC Club, the Department of Computer Applications, organized an exciting technical event titled “Hack-IT-On” on 22nd October 2025 at Room No. 1812. The event was designed to bring together enthusiastic coders and challenge them with real-time programming tasks. It created a vibrant space for students to showcase their logical thinking, coding skills, and creativity in a competitive yet friendly environment.
The main aim of the event was to help students sharpen their problem-solving abilities and understand how to write clean, efficient code under time pressure. It also encouraged them to think innovatively, work collaboratively, and explore new techniques in programming. The event was a great opportunity for students to experience the thrill of competitive coding and prepare themselves for future hackathons and technical contests.
The event was coordinated by Mr. S. Faruk, Assistant Professor and IMAC Club In-charge. A total of 57 students participated in the competition. The participants showed great enthusiasm and focus throughout the event. They tackled the coding challenges with determination and a positive spirit, making the event lively and engaging.
During the event, students were given real-time problem statements that required them to apply logic, build algorithms, and write optimized code using languages like C, Java, and Python. The evaluation process was fair and transparent, focusing on accuracy, time complexity, and innovative approaches. After the competition, students interacted with each other, shared ideas, and discussed different strategies, which added to the learning experience.
Participants walked away with improved coding confidence and a better understanding of how to approach complex problems. They also learned the value of teamwork.
