Thinking Beyond Limits: A Fun Hour of Logic and Strategy

October 17

The CAD Club of the Department of Mechanical Engineering of MBU organized an exciting event titled “Aptitude Enhancement: Problem-solving Puzzles and Logic Games” on 17th October 2025. The event was held from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM at the Mini Auditorium. The atmosphere was lively and focused, as students gathered to challenge their minds and enjoy a fun-filled hour of logical thinking and teamwork.

The main aim of the event was to help students sharpen their logical reasoning, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities. It also encouraged quick decision-making and accuracy through puzzles and logic-based games. The event was designed to be both engaging and educational, helping students apply their aptitude skills in a collaborative setting. It also inspired creativity in approaching real-world problems using simulation techniques.

The event was coordinated by Dr. S. Lakshmi Narayana, Associate Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, with support from student organizers Mr. V. Lokesh and Mr. Leela Krishna of III B.Tech, V Semester. A total of 34 students participated in the event. They were grouped into teams and showed great enthusiasm throughout the session. Each team tackled the challenges with energy and focus, demonstrating strong problem-solving strategies and teamwork.

The activity included several rounds of puzzles, riddles, and logic games that tested different aspects of aptitude such as numerical reasoning, pattern recognition, and lateral thinking. The time-bound challenges kept the participants engaged and encouraged them to think quickly and creatively. The event was interactive and competitive, yet friendly and supportive, allowing students to learn from each other while having fun.

Students walked away with improved reasoning skills, better time management, and a deeper understanding of how to approach problems strategically. The event also helped boost their confidence and mental agility, which are essential for both academic success and future competitive exams. The winning team stood out for their sharp thinking and smooth collaboration, setting a great example for their peers.

The organizers expressed heartfelt thanks to all the participants for their active involvement and positive spirit. They appreciated the efforts of the student coordinators and the CAD Club for creating such a meaningful and enjoyable learning experience.
