
Electrical Technical Association (ETA), the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering of MBU, hosted a lively and creative event titled “LyricO-Holic” on 26 September 2025 in Room No. 106. The main aim of the event was to encourage students to explore their creative side through music and lyrics. By focusing on non-technical skills, the event offered a break from routine academics and helped students express themselves in new and imaginative ways. It was also a chance to build confidence, improve communication, and enjoy the spirit of teamwork.
The event was coordinated by Dr. Rajasekar Thota, Faculty Coordinator, with guidance from Dr. M. S. Sujatha, Head of the Department, EEE. Mr. J. Ganesh, the student association coordinator, along with III Year student volunteers, played a key role in organizing the event. The event was exclusively designed for II Year B.Tech EEE students. It brought together young minds for a refreshing, music-inspired experience that blended fun with learning. A total of 39 students participated with great enthusiasm. They showed remarkable energy, creativity, and collaboration throughout the sessions.
LyricO-Holic was a music-based contest where students decoded, composed, and presented lyrics. The activities were designed to be interactive and engaging. Participants worked in teams, shared ideas, and performed their lyrical creations with flair. The event highlighted the importance of artistic expression and how it can build essential soft skills like teamwork, and cultural awareness.
Students took away valuable lessons from the event. They learned how to think creatively, communicate effectively, and appreciate different musical styles. Many participants said the experience helped them become more confident in presenting their ideas. Faculty members appreciated the initiative for promoting holistic development and encouraging students to explore beyond the classroom.
The organizers thanked all the participants for their active involvement and positive spirit. Their enthusiasm made the event a memorable success. The club looks forward to hosting more such events that inspire creativity, build skills, and bring students together in meaningful ways.
