
The School of Paramedical Allied & Healthcare Sciences (SOPAHCS), Department of Physiotherapy, Mohan Babu University, organized a vibrant wellness event titled “Wellness Essentials for Youth: Move Well, Think Well, Live Well” on 19th August 2025. The program was held at the TGR Auditorium and POP’S Canteen, bringing together students and faculty for a day dedicated to health, movement, and mindful living.
The event was designed to help young minds understand the importance of taking care of both body and mind. It aimed to raise awareness about the importance of physical fitness, mental clarity, and the impact of everyday habits on achieving a healthy lifestyle. Through simple yet powerful messages, the sessions encouraged students to incorporate wellness into their daily routines.
Dr. Akbar J, Assistant Professor, coordinated the event with outstanding care and enthusiasm. A total of 61 participants joined the program, showing active involvement and genuine interest throughout the sessions. Their energy and openness made the event lively and impactful.
The activities included informative talks, interactive demonstrations, and group exercises that highlighted the importance of movement, positive thinking, and balanced living. The sessions were conducted in a friendly and engaging manner, making it easy for students to connect with the ideas shared. The event also reflected the university’s commitment to SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being) and SDG 4 (Quality Education).
Participants walked away with practical tips and a renewed sense of motivation. Many expressed how the event helped them rethink their daily habits and inspired them to take small steps toward better health. Suggestions from students included adding more hands-on workshops and regular follow-up sessions to keep the momentum going.
