The Imaging Squad Club, School of Paramedical and Allied Health Care Sciences (SOPAHCS) of MBU, organized a webinar titled “Emergency Radiology Essentials” on 11 August 2025 between 11:30 PM and 12:30 PM. The session aimed to equip students with the importance of timely imaging in emergencies, the role of rapid and accurate diagnosis, and the effective use of various imaging modalities in critical scenarios.
The session began with a formal introduction by Mr. Manas Chakravarthy, Head of the Department, SOPAHCS, who emphasized the growing significance of emergency radiology in modern healthcare. He highlighted how rapid and accurate imaging plays a crucial role in diagnosing life-threatening conditions and guiding immediate interventions.
Mrs. G. Moohini Latha, Assistant Professor and Convener of the club, welcomed all participants and introduced the objectives of the session. She encouraged the students to make the most of the webinar by actively engaging with the content and applying the knowledge in real-life situations. A total of 25 students attended the webinar.
The keynote address was delivered by Mr. M. Pramodh Kumar, Assistant Professor from Malla Reddy University, Hyderabad, who brought his expertise in diagnostic imaging and acute care scenarios to the forefront. His presentation focused on the key points of emergency radiology, such as quickly spotting important issues in trauma images, how various imaging methods are used in emergencies, and the best ways to prioritize scans for serious health situations. He emphasized the importance of swift image interpretation to guide immediate clinical decisions.
The webinar effectively enhanced the students’ understanding of emergency imaging principles and their critical role in acute care. It provided hands-on learning through practical discussions, real-life case studies, and interactive challenges. The session was a successful and impactful learning experience for all attendees. It reinforced that with the right knowledge and confidence in emergency radiology practices.
