The Electro Affinity Club of the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mohan Babu University, in collaboration with the IEEE Power and Energy Society MBU SB Chapter, hosted an insightful expert talk titled “Effective and Reliable Product Development with Power Electronic Devices.” The session was held in Room No. 208 07th Aug 2025 from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM and was attended by approximately 45 enthusiastic III B.Tech students. The aim of this event was to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry practices in the field of electrical engineering specifically focusing on reliable product development using power electronic devices.
The talk was delivered by Dr. Daki Krishna Chaitanya, Research Associate at Danfoss Lab—affiliated with the Royal Academy of Engineering, UK, and VIT University, Vellore. Dr. Chaitanya, a seasoned expert in power electronics and product reliability, shared valuable perspectives drawn from his industry experience. His presentation emphasized the critical role of power electronic devices in modern engineering applications and highlighted best practices for developing robust and efficient products.
Through real-world examples and interactive discussion, the session illuminated the evolving landscape of electrical engineering. It encouraged students to explore emerging opportunities in power systems, energy conversion, and product innovation. The event served as a platform for bridging academic learning with industry insights, fostering curiosity and professional growth among future engineers.
Moreover, the session was helpful to the students because it made them aware of the diverse opportunities and pathways available in the field of electrical engineering. Such initiatives continue to empower students with the knowledge and inspiration needed to thrive in a dynamic technological ecosystem.
