The Ramanujan Club of MBU hosted an intellectually stimulating event titled “Math Art Design Challenge” on 12 August 2025, held in Room No. 2052 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM. This unique initiative is designed to highlight the aesthetic dimensions of mathematics and demonstrate how mathematical concepts can inspire visually captivating designs. The event aimed to foster a deeper appreciation for mathematics by encouraging students to express abstract ideas through artistic media, making them more engaging and accessible.
Ch. Bhavitha, Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics, coordinated the event, and her guidance and enthusiasm significantly contributed to its success. A total of 55 enthusiastic students from various disciplines participated in this event with great zeal, showcasing their creativity and analytical thinking.
This event provided a creative platform that encouraged participants to explore the intersection of mathematics and art. The participants could submit hand-drawn, painted, or digital creations, each accompanied by a brief explanation of the mathematical principles applied. This interdisciplinary approach not only celebrated the beauty of mathematics but also encouraged students to think beyond conventional boundaries.
The participants from multiple disciplines showcased their creativity and problem-solving abilities. This Challenge served as a dynamic platform for students to explore the intersection of logic and imagination. It reinforced the idea that mathematics is not merely a subject of numbers and formulas but also a source of inspiration for artistic expression.
The event was a resounding success, effectively raising awareness among the participants about the magic of mathematics. The club coordinator extends her heartfelt gratitude to all participants and contributors for making this event a remarkable success.
