Mohan Babu University celebrated the77th Republic day on Monday, 26th January 2026 with great enthusiasm and national pride. The event commenced at 8:00 a.m. at the Sree Vidyanikethan International School playground, where students, faculty, and staff assembled to mark the occasion.
The programme began with a slow march to the venue, followed by the unfurling of the National Flag by Prof. Nagaraj Ramrao, the Vice-Chancellor of MBU, at 8:15 a.m. The gathering paid tribute with a National Salute and joined in singing the National Anthem, filling the atmosphere with patriotic spirit.
A parade and guard of honour showcased discipline and dedication, after which speeches were delivered in Telugu and English by the students, reflecting the significance of the day.
Dr. K. Saradhi, the Registrar of MBU, read out the messages of the Hon’ble Chancellor and Pro-Chancellor, which emphasized the values of unity, integrity, and progress. The messages highlighted the importance of nurturing responsible citizens who uphold the ideals of the Constitution, while also encouraging students to embrace innovation, ethical leadership, and service to society.
The Vice-Chancellor then addressed the gathering, inspiring students and faculty with words of encouragement. He reminded everyone that Republic Day is not only a celebration of India’s democratic spirit but also a call to action for the younger generation to contribute meaningfully to the nation’s growth. He stressed the role of education in shaping future leaders, urging students to combine academic excellence with discipline and a sense of duty. His message resonated with the audience, reinforcing the university’s commitment to holistic development and nation-building.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks and the distribution of sweets, symbolizing joy and togetherness. The celebration at Mohan Babu University not only honoured the Constitution but also instilled a renewed sense of pride, patriotism, and responsibility among all present.
