Yuva Shakti: National Youth Day Celebration 2026

Celebrating National Youth Day with Purpose
The Creative Association of Mechanical Engineering Students Club (CAMS), School of Engineering, organized a vibrant programme titled “Yuva Shakti: Unleashing the Spirit of the Youth” on 8th January 2026 to mark National Youth Day. The highlight of the programme was a poster presentation competition that celebrated the ideals of Swami Vivekananda and the spirit of youth empowerment.
The event was aimed at motivating students to realize their inner strength and potential. It sought to encourage creativity, critical thinking, and active participation among young minds. By commemorating the vision and values of Swami Vivekananda, the programme reminded students of their role in shaping society with confidence, leadership, and responsibility. The focus was not only on academic excellence but also on nurturing qualities such as service, resilience, and dedication that are essential for nation-building.
Poster Presentation and Student Participation
The programme was coordinated by a team of dedicated students—P. Sri Nikitha, J. Arthi, K. Sahith Srinivas, K. Praneeth Kumar, B. Charan, T. Sai Charan, and V. Mohith—all from the IV Semester. Under the guidance of Dr. D. Gowthami, Assistant Professor and CAMS Coordinator, the event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across the department. The participants performed with great zeal, presenting their ideas with clarity and confidence. Their posters reflected creativity, thoughtful expression, and a deep understanding of the values of youth leadership and empowerment.
The poster presentation activity was conducted in a lively and engaging manner. Students were encouraged to express their thoughts on themes such as youth empowerment, leadership, and nation-building. The activity was important as it gave them a platform to showcase their creativity while also learning to communicate ideas effectively. The process of designing and presenting posters helped them develop critical thinking and presentation skills, while also fostering teamwork and discipline.
Key Takeaways and Concluding Reflections
The key takeaways for the participants were both personal and collective. They gained confidence in expressing their ideas, improved their communication skills, and developed a stronger sense of responsibility toward society. The event inspired them to reflect on their role as future leaders and motivated them to channel their energy toward meaningful contributions. It also strengthened their belief in the values of unity, service, and resilience.
At the end of the programme, the organizers expressed heartfelt gratitude to all the participants for their active involvement and enthusiasm. They acknowledged the efforts of the coordinators, faculty, and students who made the event a success.
