
The Toastmasters Club, the School of Liberal Arts and Sciences of MBU, hosted a vibrant talk titled “Voice of Hope—Motivational and Confidence Talk” on 19 September 2025. The event took place from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM at Seminar Hall-1 in the New Academic Block. The main goal of the program was to help students believe in themselves, build inner strength, and develop a positive mindset. It focused on boosting their confidence, teaching them how to manage stress, and preparing them to face academic and personal challenges with clarity and courage.
The faculty coordinator, Dr. K. Manigandan, Associate Professor of English, meticulously planned and guided the event. A total of 130 students actively participated in it, showing genuine interest and enthusiasm throughout the session. Their involvement reflected a strong curiosity about the Toastmasters platform and how it could support their personal and academic growth.
Dr. Sudipta Ghosh, Assistant Professor of English, MBU, served as the resource person and delivered an effective motivational talk. He spoke about the importance of self-confidence, hope, and continuous self-improvement. Using real-life examples and relatable stories, he encouraged students to embrace challenges, overcome fear of failure, and stay focused on their goals. The session was interactive, practical, and deeply engaging.
Students walked away with several key takeaways. They learned how to think positively, set meaningful goals, and handle stress with resilience. Many felt more confident and motivated to take charge of their academic journey. The talk helped them see the value of self-management and the strength that comes from believing in one’s own potential.
The event concluded with an enthusiastic response from the participants, who expressed that the session had encouraged them to develop a positive outlook and motivated them to pursue their goals with renewed energy and optimism.
