Trading Minds: A Quiz on Virtual Stock Market Simulation

The Finance and Investment Club, the School of Commerce and Management of MBU, organized an exciting quiz competition on “Virtual Trading Stock Simulation Exercises” on 13th November 2025. The event was held on campus and brought together students who are eager to explore the world of finance and investment through interactive learning. The club, known for promoting financial literacy and practical exposure, continues to create engaging platforms for students to grow in confidence and knowledge.
This event was aimed at helping students understand the basics of stock trading, investment strategies, and market analysis in a fun and competitive way. It encouraged them to think critically, apply classroom concepts, and make smart decisions under pressure—skills that are essential in the world of finance. The quiz also introduced students to the dynamics of virtual trading and the importance of both fundamental and technical analysis.
The event was coordinated by Dr. Dasari Rajesh Babu, Associate Professor, who guided the planning and execution of the competition. A total of 60 students participated, forming four teams. Each team displayed great enthusiasm and teamwork. After several rounds of challenging questions, Team B emerged as the winners with 10 points, while Team C followed closely with 8 points, securing the runner-up position. The energy and competitive spirit among the teams made the event lively and engaging.
The quiz was structured to test students’ understanding of stock market concepts, trading strategies, and decision-making under simulated conditions. It included rounds on market trends, company analysis, and trading scenarios. The format allowed students to collaborate, think on their feet, and apply what they’ve learned in a practical setting. The event also sparked discussions on fintech, crypto currencies, and sustainable investing—broadening the learning experience.
Participants walked away with a deeper understanding of how stock markets work and how to make informed investment decisions. They also gained confidence in analyzing financial data, working as a team, and thinking strategically. The event helped build a strong foundation for those considering careers in finance, investment, or entrepreneurship.
