Strengthening Workplace Balance – Stress Awareness Day 2025

The Together We Heal Club of MBU organized an event ‘National stress Awareness Day’ on 22nd November 2025 at the mechanical seminar Hall. The event was conducted in association with the Department of Pharmacy Practice, IQAC, and HET. The program was designed to highlight the importance of employee wellbeing and to provide practical strategies for managing stress in everyday life.
The event was aimed at helping employees and participants understand stress better, recognize its early signs, and learn effective ways to manage with it. The focus was on promoting a healthier workplace environment where individuals could balance professional responsibilities with personal wellbeing. By bringing together experts and participants, the program sought to create awareness and encourage positive lifestyle changes that reduce stress and improve productivity.
The program was coordinated by Ms.Bandla Aswani, Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmacy Practice, MB School of Pharmaceutical Sciences. Around 200 participants attended, including students, faculty members, and healthcare professionals. Their active involvement made the session lively and engaging. Participants listened attentively, took part in discussions, and showed great enthusiasm during the interactive activities.
The highlight of the event was the session delivered by Dr.Vanajakshamma Senior Consultant from the Cardiology Department, SVIMS, Tirupati. She explained the importance of understanding stress triggers and guided the audience through practical techniques such as breathing exercises, mindfulness practices, and time‑management methods. She also emphasized the role of healthy lifestyle habits like proper sleep, balanced nutrition, and regular physical activity. Workplace strategies such as effective communication, workload planning, and boundary setting were discussed in detail. The interactive nature of the session, including relaxation exercises and open discussions, made the program impactful and easy to follow.
The key takeaways for participants included increased awareness of stress triggers, improved knowledge of coping techniques, and a stronger sense of engagement. Many expressed that the mindfulness and relaxation exercises were particularly helpful. The event encouraged participants to reflect on their own stress levels and adopt healthier habits to manage them.
The organizers expressed heartfelt gratitude to all the participants, resource persons, and collaborators for making the event a success.
