The Nutrition Club of M B School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Mohan Babu University, successfully organized the Nutrition for Youth Day awareness program on August 14, 2025, from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM. Held within the campus premises, the initiative aimed to deepen students’ and faculty’s understanding of nutrition and its critical role in youth development.
The program commenced with an insightful address by Dr. Hari V, Associate Professor, who emphasized the long-term benefits of proper nutrition on health, academic performance, and overall well-being. His remarks set the tone for an engaging and informative session that followed.
A total of 30 students and 2 faculty members participated enthusiastically, contributing to discussions and sharing perspectives. The session concluded with a lively Q&A segment, where students clarified doubts and expressed their commitment to spreading awareness about healthy nutrition practices.
The interactive session featured key topics such as the significance of nutrition in daily life, the concept of a balanced “Healthy Plate” diet, and the importance of understanding and calculating Body Mass Index (BMI). These themes were presented in a relatable and practical manner, encouraging participants to reflect on their own dietary habits and lifestyle choices.
The event proved to be a meaningful platform for promoting health literacy and empowering youth to make informed choices. It reinforced the importance of nutrition education and highlighted the role of academic institutions in fostering holistic development.
