The Pharma Club, the Department of Pharmacy Practice of MBU, organized a “Poster and Drawing Competition” with a theme “Your Safety – Just a Click Away” on 18th and 19th September 2025 in the department, as part of National Pharmacovigilance Week. The event was brought together students to express their thoughts on patient safety and medicine awareness through art and creativity.
The main aim of the competition was to raise awareness about pharmacovigilance and the importance of reporting adverse drug reactions (ADRs) to ensure patient safety. The event encouraged students to explore how digital tools like PvPI (Pharmacovigilance Programme of India) can help protect lives. It also aimed to promote safe medicine practices and inspire future healthcare professionals to be proactive in reporting and educating others.
The event was coordinated by Dr. V. Hemalatha, Assistant Professor, who guided the students throughout the activity. A total of 50 students participated with great enthusiasm. They showcased their creativity through posters and drawings, each one reflecting a unique message about safety, awareness, and responsibility. The participants performed with dedication and brought fresh ideas in the competitive event.
The activity was conducted in a friendly and interactive format. Students were given time to think, design, and present their work. The posters and drawings highlighted key messages about ADR reporting, safe medicine use, and the role of technology in healthcare.
Students took away several meaningful lessons from the competition. They learned how to communicate health messages visually, improved their critical thinking, and understood the importance of pharmacovigilance in real-life situations. The event also helped them develop a sense of responsibility toward patient safety and encouraged them to be more observant and proactive in their future roles.
At the end of the session, the organizers expressed heartfelt gratitude to all the participants for their active involvement and creativity. Certificates were awarded to the best captivating drawings. The event was a successful blend of learning and expression, and the club looks forward to organizing more such initiatives in the future.
