Photo Walk: Think Beyond the Frame – A Journey into Creative Observation

The Idea Club, the School of Commerce and Management, organized an engaging activity titled “Photo Walk: Think Beyond the Frame” on 23rd December 2025 at Room 4119, NAB Block. The event was held with much enthusiasm and brought together students in a creative environment where learning was combined with observation and imagination. By using photographs as the medium, the activity aimed to sharpen students’ creative thinking, problem-solving skills, and analytical abilities
The event was coordinated by Dr. B. Ujwala, Assistant Professor in the School of Commerce and Management. A total of 95 students took part in the activity, making it a vibrant and interactive session. The participants showed great interest and actively engaged in discussions. They observed the photographs carefully, shared their perspectives, and expressed their ideas with confidence. Their performance reflected enthusiasm, teamwork, and a genuine willingness to learn through new methods.
The activity was conducted in a simple yet impactful way. A set of photographs depicting social, environmental, and organizational contexts was presented to the students. They were asked to look beyond the surface of the images, identify hidden issues, and propose practical solutions. This method encouraged them to apply critical thinking and creativity in a collaborative setting. The importance of the activity lay in its ability to transform everyday observations into meaningful insights, helping students realize that ideas can emerge from even the simplest visual cues.
The key takeaways for the participants were significant. Students learned to observe situations more critically and developed the skill of interpreting visuals with depth. They improved their problem-identification abilities and practiced solution-oriented thinking. The activity also enhanced their creativity, communication skills, and confidence in expressing ideas. Most importantly, they experienced the value of experiential learning, which contributed to their holistic development.
At the end of the session, the organizers expressed heartfelt gratitude to all the participants for their active involvement and enthusiasm. They appreciated the students for making the Photo Walk a memorable and impactful event. The Idea Club reaffirmed its commitment to continue organizing such activities that inspire creativity, innovation, and collaborative learning among students.
