October 23

The Tech Know Club of the School of Computing, Department of Computer Applications of MBU, organized an insightful seminar titled “The Evolution of Web Technology” on 23rd October 2025. The event brought together enthusiastic students and faculty members to explore the changing landscape of the World Wide Web and its impact on digital innovation.

The seminar was designed to help students strengthen their presentation skills and deepen their understanding of web technologies. It aimed to prepare them for future roles as software professionals by exposing them to the historical progression and current trends in web development. The session encouraged students to think critically about how digital platforms shape industries and everyday life.

The event was coordinated by Ms. P Yasminbhanu, Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Applications. A total of 70 participants attended the seminar, actively engaging in discussions and sharing their thoughts. The students showed great interest and performed with enthusiasm, asking thoughtful questions and contributing to the interactive segments of the session.

During the seminar, Ms. Yasminbhanu guided the participants through the journey of web evolution—from the early days of Web 1.0, which focused on static content, to the dynamic and social nature of Web 2.0, and finally to the emerging Web 3.0, which emphasizes decentralization, semantic understanding, and immersive technologies. The session highlighted how tools like AI, blockchain, and AR/VR are reshaping user experiences and digital interactions.
