The Sports & Cultural Club, the Department of Computer Science, MBU, organized an online “Mindful Wellness Program” on 13th October 2025. Though the sessions were conducted virtually, the physical venue was set up in Room No. 128 and 131 of the CSE Block to facilitate coordination and support. The event brought together students and faculty in a shared effort to promote health and well-being within the academic community.
The program was designed to help students understand the importance of physical, mental, and emotional wellness. It focused on stress management, healthy habits, and a balanced lifestyle. Through interactive sessions, the event encouraged students to take small but meaningful steps toward a healthier and more positive way of living.
Dr. K. Hari Krishna, Associate Professor, coordinated the event with great dedication. A total of 131 students participated actively, showing genuine interest and enthusiasm throughout the sessions. Their involvement reflected a strong willingness to learn and apply wellness practices in their daily lives.
The sessions were led by Dr. K. Siva Shankar Reddy, Professor and Director of Physical Education at Sri Venkateshwara University. He shared practical tips and insights on how students can manage stress, stay physically active, and maintain emotional balance. The activities were simple, engaging, and tailored to suit the students’ routines. The program highlighted how wellness directly impacts academic performance and personal growth.
Participants took away valuable lessons from the event. Many felt more motivated to prioritize their health and noticed a shift in their mindset toward self-care. The sessions helped them understand the link between good health and better concentration, teamwork, and overall productivity. Students appreciated the opportunity to reflect on their habits and make positive changes.
The organizers expressed heartfelt thanks to all the participants for making the event meaningful and lively. Their active involvement and positive feedback added great value to the initiative. The Sports & Cultural Club looks forward to hosting more such programs that support student well-being and holistic development.
