The Freshmen Department of the School of Liberal Arts and Sciences, Mohan Babu University, successfully organized a Heartfulness Meditation training programe titled “Wellness and Inner Transformation” from 3rd to 15th November 2025. The sessions were held on the campus of MBU in the Dasari Auditorium and conducted by the experienced trainers of the Heartfulness Education Trust (HET), Heartfulness Meditation Centre, affiliated with the Shri Ram Chandra Mission, Tirupati. The event brought together students, faculty, and senior Abhyasis of the Centre in a calm and welcoming environment, encouraging everyone to explore the benefits of meditation.

The main aim of the event was to help students experience inner peace and emotional balance through simple yet powerful meditation practices. It was designed to introduce young minds to the importance of relaxation, stress relief, and self-awareness. The sessions taught how to listen to one’s heart and its gentle guidance by practicing meditation.

Dr. S. Prasanthi, Associate Professor in the MB School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, coordinated the event with great care and dedication. Dr. Ramchandra Babu, Associate professor of English, supported her as co-coordinator. Their collaborative efforts were further strengthened by the guidance and continuous monitoring of Dr. N. Together, this committed team ensured that the sessions were thoughtfully scheduled so as not to disrupt the students’ regular academic class work. Their perfect planning and vigilant supervision throughout the event enabled every first B. Tech student to participate fully without compromising their classroom learning.

To accommodate all sections of first B. Tech effectively, the organizers designed three meditation sessions per batch with approximately 250 students over three consecutive days. The enthusiastic participation and sincere engagement of the students reflected both the relevance of the initiative and the care with which it was implemented. The program not only introduced students to the benefits of meditation but also fostered a sense of collective well-being and mindfulness for all first B. Tech students.

Each meditation session was conducted over three days for a batch from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM every evening, each with a unique focus. Thus Four sessions were successfully organized by the department. Day one helped students relax and expand their awareness by meditating on the light within their hearts. Day two introduced a cleaning technique to let go of stress and emotional heaviness, allowing a sense of sacredness to fill the body. Day three guided students to connect with their inner selves through a heartfelt prayer, encouraging humility and clarity. The sessions were led by experienced trainers, including Mr. C. Murali Nadha Gupta, Sis. C. Vijaya Lakshmi, Sis. K. Nageswaramma, Mr. T. Subba Rao, and Sis. KB Neelima, who brought warmth and wisdom to each interaction.

Students shared that they felt calmer, more focused, and emotionally refreshed after the sessions. Many expressed that they had never experienced such deep silence and clarity before. The practices helped them slow down, reflect, and feel more connected to themselves.

At the conclusion of the sessions, the organizers extended heartfelt thanks to all participants for their enthusiastic involvement and positive spirit.
