Love to Speak: Empowering Students in Public Speaking

The aim of the event
The Toastmasters Club organized an event titled “Love to Speak” on 10 February 2026. The program was conducted in Room 507, MNS Block, from 01:45 pm to 03:45 pm. The event aimed to empower students to develop confidence in public speaking and communication. It provided a supportive environment to overcome stage fear and improve articulation skills. The program also focused on enhancing leadership abilities through structured speaking activities and guided practice.
Student Participation in Structured Speaking
Dr. K. Manigandan, Associate Professor, Department of English, SOLAS, coordinated the event. A total of 64 students participated actively in the program. The event included structured speaking sessions, extempore speeches, and constructive feedback following the Toastmasters methodology. Students performed confidently and embraced the opportunity to express their ideas. The program highlighted the importance of communication and leadership skills in academic and professional growth.
