Impressions & Expressions: Celebrating Creativity through Mimicry

The Fine Arts Club, the Department of Computer Applications organized a event titled “Mimic the Artist” exclusively for MCA students on10th November 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Room No. 2053. The event brought together students and faculty members for an hour of fun, creativity, and entertainment. The room was filled with excitement as students prepared to showcase their talents in mimicry.

The main aim of the event was to encourage students to express themselves through art and performance. It was designed to help them explore their creative side, build confidence, and enjoy the lighter side of learning. By mimicking famous personalities, actors, and everyday characters, students got a chance to step into someone else’s shoes and entertain their peers in a lively and supportive environment.

The event was coordinated by Ms. Anusha, Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Applications. She guided the students with great enthusiasm and ensured the smooth flow of the program. Around30 students from MCA program attended the event The MCA students who participated performed with energy and joy, making the event a delightful experience for everyone present.

For the activity, the students were divided into small groups. Each group selected a well-known personality or character to mimic. They prepared short skits and performances that reflected the voice, expressions, and mannerisms of the chosen figures. The performances were filled with humor, creativity, and spontaneity. The audience responded with laughter, applause, and encouragement,  making the performers feel appreciated and confident.

The event offered valuable takeaways for the participants. It helped them overcome stage fear, improve their communication skills, and understand the power of observation and expression. Many students shared that they felt more connected with their peers and enjoyed working together as a team. It was also a refreshing break from their regular academic routine, allowing them to relax and recharge.

At the end of the event, the organizers expressed heartfelt gratitude to all the participants, audience members, and faculty for their support and enthusiasm. Special thanks were extended to Ms. Anusha for her dedicated coordination. The event concluded on a cheerful note, leaving everyone with smiles and fond memories of the event.
