Home First Aid Kit Workshop: First Aid Awareness for Students

About the Event
The First Aid Force Club of Mohan Babu University, organized a workshop on 17 March 2026. The session titled “Home First Aid Kit – What Should It Have?” was conducted at MNS Block, Room No. 812. The event aimed to create awareness about the importance of maintaining a well-equipped first aid kit at home.
Practical Demonstrations
Ms. M. Mohana Priya, Assistant Professor, School of Paramedical, Allied and Health Care Sciences coordinated the A total of 40 students participated actively in the one-hour session. The program included practical demonstrations and interactive discussions on essential first aid items. Students learned about adhesive bandages, antiseptics, gauze pads, gloves, and other vital supplies. The importance of organizing, checking expiry dates, and updating the kit regularly was emphasized.
Takeaways and Feedback
The participants gained knowledge about the essential components of a home first aid kit and their proper usage. They also learned how to handle minor injuries such as cuts, burns, sprains, and allergic reactions. They appreciated the hands-on demonstrations and scenario-based discussions. The feedback showed that the workshop improved their confidence in managing emergencies at home. The session also encouraged them to adopt safe practices and maintain hygiene while using first aid materials. The organizers expressed gratitude to all participants for their active involvement.
