From Theory to Practice: Clinical Insights into Pulmonary Hypertension

Primary Goal
The Breath Easy Club of MBU organized an event titled “Clinical Vignette presentation” on 23 February 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM. The session aimed to enhance clinical knowledge and diagnostic skills in pulmonary hypertension. It focused on pathophysiology, classification, clinical presentation, and management strategies. Students learned through chart presentations, practical demonstrations, and case-based discussions.
Practical Sessions
R.S. Angeline Yehudhiya, Assistant Professor, coordinated the event. A total of 27 students actively participated in the programme. The vignette presented a middle-aged patient with progressive dyspnea and fatigue. The Students explored the diagnosis of pulmonary arterial hypertension through guided analysis. They also participated in a practical session on basic life support. Moreover, they showed strong interest in managing sudden heart failure complications. The event highlighted current treatment guidelines from international cardiology associations.
