About the Club and Event

The CAD Club organized an extempore activity on 23 January 2026 at Room No. 2702. The event ran from 2.15 PM to 3.15 PM and focused on design-related communication. It aimed to improve spontaneous thinking and technical expression among students. Participants spoke on random design topics for two minutes each. The activity encouraged confidence, clarity, and application of design concepts to real-world problems.

Coordinator and Participants

Dr. S. Lakshmi Narayana, Associate Professor in Mechanical Engineering, coordinated the event. A total of 26 students from II B.Tech Mechanical branch actively participated in the session. Each student received a design topic on the spot and presented their views confidently. Topics included sustainable design, CAD applications, ergonomics, and innovation in engineering. The event was organized with clear structure and purpose, making it engaging and effective. It highlighted the importance of communication in technical education and professional readiness.

Takeaways and Feedback

Students appreciated the interactive nature of the activity and its practical relevance. They reported improved confidence in expressing design-related ideas within limited time. The exercise strengthened their ability to think critically and structure ideas logically. Participants valued the exposure to diverse topics and the chance to share their perspectives.
