On the occasion of the World Breast Feeding Awareness Week, the Together We Heal Club of M.B. School of Pharmaceutical Sciences organized a meaningful outreach program at SVIMS Hospital, Tirupati, on August 20th, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 01:00 PM. The initiative was coordinated by the Department of Pharmacy Practice in association with the Department of Pharmacology and aimed to promote awareness about the significance of breastfeeding in maternal and child health.
The event featured a series of insightful student-led presentations, supported by PowerPoint slides and informative chart diagrams. Fifty enthusiastic students actively participated, delivering well-researched speeches that highlighted the physiological, emotional, and societal benefits of breastfeeding. Their contributions reflected both academic rigor and compassionate engagement, making the session highly impactful for patients, caregivers, and members of the academic community present.
Beyond raising awareness, the program served as a dynamic platform for experiential learning, allowing students to deepen their understanding of public health communication and advocacy. It emphasized the importance of informed decision-making in personal health management and underscored the broader goal of achieving health equity through education and empowerment.
